Data Portal help and guidance

About the Data Portal

We introduced the Data Portal as part of the RIIO-2 business plan to deliver a foundational data portal with NESO datasets available to all, and to enhance transparency of our decision-making.

Data Portal FAQ’s

The Data Portal enables you to access all NESO published data, and offers powerful tools to search and query data, and consume data via APIs.

NESO Open Licence

Each dataset on the NESO data portal is licenced on an individual basis, and this licence only applies to the datasets explicitly associated with this licence.

API guidance

This page provides further details on the Data Portal’s application programming interface (API) for users who wish to write code to access information from the Data Portal site.

Data Sharing Approach

We actively embrace the need to share our data with our customers and the industry, fostering transparency, innovation, and collaboration.
